"Bella Notte"

The Bella Notte base was the first base released by Walt Disney Art Classics. The barrel and crates of vegetables were part of the base. The base made for a perfect setting to compliment the  well-known Spaghetti Scene from "Lady and the Tramp."  The 'Bella Notte' scene had an edition size of 5,000 pieces.

"Canine Caddy"

'Golfing' Mickey Mouse was released in 1997 as part of the Celebration Series.  In 1999, he was joined by Pluto, an Opening Title and a Base (pictured left) from the animated short, "Canine Caddy." The base was made of resin, and the flag of metal and really set the scene for a Day of Golf with Mickey and Pluto.  

The complete Canine Caddy Scene (including Opening Title) was retired through Sketches Magazine, making it the first Sketches retirement. While they have reported retirements in Sketches which happened in other ways (i.e. events, trade shows, retailer forums), this was the first time where they used a Sketches mailing as the retirement vehicle.

"On Ice"

"On Ice" was first introduced in October, 1997 with the release of Minnie Mouse.  Mickey Mouse and an Opening Title skated on the scene in February, 1998.  In August, 1999 they were joined by Donald and a Base (pictured left) to round out this scene.

The complete Skating Scene (including base) was honored with retirement in June 2000 at the International Collectibles Exposition (ICE) in Rosemont , IL.

"First Aiders"

Fall of 1999 saw the release of Minnie Mouse, Pluto and Figaro from "First Aiders". The scene depicted "nurse" Minnie getting ready for the war with a very 'helpful' Figaro nearby and Pluto. A resin base (pictured at left) featuring Minnie's vanity and rocking chair with box of yarn was released in February 2000 to complete the scene. 

During the Dealer Forum held at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA in April 2002, the complete scene from First Aiders Scene (Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Figaro and Base) along with the Opening Title were honored with retirement!

"The Aristocats Couch Base"

The resin Couch Base (pictured at left) was released in Spring, 2000 to complete the figurine series from the 1970 Disney classic "The Aristocats."

The Couch Base is large enough to display the complete Aristocats Scene consisting of Thomas O'Malley, Duchess, Toulousse, Berlioz and Marie.

"Peter Pan Bed Base"

Fall of 2000, the long awaited Darling Children (Wendy, John and Michael) from the classic film, "Peter Pan" made their debut. The Darling Children Scene depicts John and Michael 'sword fighting' as Captain Hook and Peter Pan respectively with Wendy and Nana nearby.

This base, made of resin, doubles as an accessory item and a base. At the foot of the bed, attached to the base, is a trunk that actually opens.

"Pluto's Christmas Tree"

The scene from the animated short, "Pluto's Christmas Tree" began in 1995 with the release of Mickey Mouse (1st in the series), with a different character released each year in both figurine and ornament size.  Mickey was followed by Pluto (1996), Chip 'n Dale (1997), Minnie Mouse (1998) and Goofy (1999). The scene was completed in 2000 with the final release of Donald Duck.

With the release of Donald Duck in 2000, a Base (pictured left) was released to hold The Carolers Scene (Minnie, Goofy and Donald). The base was only done for the figurine size releases. The lamppost actually lights by either battery or electric.

"Little Charmer"

This is the first base to be released to compliment a membership/renewal piece. The Tinker Bell Base was made to hold the 2001 membership/renewal gift - Tinkerbell!

As a special benefit, an exclusive display base was available for purchase by members who joined or renewed by April 30, 2001.  The base is decorated with accessories from the dresser drawer including Wendy's jewelery box, knitting needles and yarn, so as to recreate the delightful film scene.

If a member joined or renewed by the above date, they were sent a certificate allowing them to purchase the base. The certificate was valid until December 31, 2001.  A certificate could only be received, if renewed or join the Society by April 30,2001.

"Fantasyland Base"

The 2001 Walt Disney Art Classics Convention, held in Orlando, FL (May 5-6, 2001) was themed 'Fantasyland.'  The featured Convention Sculptures were the Fantasyland Grouping, featuring the Mad Hatter, Dumbo and Grumpy.

Also available was the Resin Arch Fantasyland Base (pictured at left) that was made available to display all three of the featured convention sculptures.

"Trick or Treat"

Walt Disney Art Classics put everyone into the "Halloween Spirit" in Fall 2001 with the release from the 1952 animated short, "Trick or Treat," one of the most beloved and well-remembered of the Duck cartoons.

The Trick or Treat Scene features Witch Hazel and Donald's nephews - Huey, Dewey and Louie. The resin base features Witch Hazel's 'bubbling' cauldron.

"Peter Pan Window Base"

The Walt Disney Classics Collection introduced the Darling Children's bedroom window as a separate accessory/base to the Nursery Scene featuring Peter Pan, Wendy, John and Michael in January, 2003. The resin window features the complete window seat along with a very special touch, a miniature bronze sculpture of Tinkerbell.

"Toy Story 2 Record Player Base"

March 2002, from "Toy Story 2" came Jessie & Bullseye (sold as a set) and a Record Player Base. The Record Player Base makes a perfect setting to display Jessie and Bullseye.

"Evinrude Leaf Base"

In the fall of 2002, Walt Disney Art Classics made its first release from "The Rescuers."

The Rescuers Scene features Bernard, Bianca,  the Evinrude Base (pictured at left) plus an Opening Title.

The leafboat base is made of resin and Evinrude is plussed with wire inner wings, pewter tail, legs and leaf stem.

"Boo's Door Station"

Fall 2002 saw the first release from Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. featuring Sulley, Mike, Boo and Boo's Door Station (pictured at left).

Boo's Door Station is made of resin and has pewter attachments and brass hinges.

Door Station contains a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that reads "Boo's Door Station."

"Chapel Window Base"

"Going to the Chapel" is the first Walt Disney Art Classics release where the base is packaged with the sculptures.  The three (3) piece boxed set includes the Chapel Window Base, Pongo & Perdita.

The Chapel Window base is made of resin.  No specific details available at this time on the stained window.

"Two Chips and a Miss"

Making its 'debut performance' in June 2003, is Two Chips and a Miss featuring Chip, Dale, Clarice and the Stage Base (pictured at left).

The curtain on the base is painted with an opalescent "glitter" paint, which gives it a great curtain effect.

"The Watering Hole"

"Roaring Royalty" is the second Walt Disney Art Classics release where the base is packaged with the sculptures.  The four (4) piece boxed set includes the Watering Hole Base, Simba, Nala and Zazu.

The Watering Hole base is made of resin.

"Coral Reef"

Those loveable characters from "Finding Nemo" - Nemo, Marlin (his Dad) and Dory along with  Coral Reef Base are Finding Undersea Fun!

"Jewel Mine"

The lovable little dwarfs busily work at their appointed tasks deep inside the Dwarf's Jewel Mine. Bashful, Happy, Grumpy and Sneezy dig up diamonds as Sleepy steers a deer-driven cart full of sparkling cargo. Dopey sweeps up spare gems as Doc supervises the entire operation.

"Jungle Step"

The stone step base is specially designed to set the scene for the Mowgli and the Village Girl.  Mowgli and the Village Girl were released in 2004.

"Winter Base"

This charming Winter Scene includes a frozen pond base. The Base has complete openings (all the way through the porcelain) in which the Bambi and Thumper pieces can sit into making the surface of the ice of the base and the sculpts flush.  Flower in the Burrow will sit on top of the ice base.

"Pool Table Base"

September 2006 marked the Walt Disney Classics Collection debut of Lampwick and the Pleasure Island sequence from "Pinocchio".  The pool table base (made of resin) is routed to display Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket.  The pool cue bridge on the side of the table is removable.
