The Disney Wonder ® Silent Auction which will take place during the 2003 Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics sailing May 15-18, 2003.

Passengers will be able to mark down their bids on tablets in front of the auction items until the deadline. The auction items will be on display during the sailing in the Preludes area on Deck 4 near the Walt Disney Theatre where event seminars will be held. Subsequent bids need to exceed previous bids by a certain amount. Suggested opening bids are provided for each item.

There will be no auctioneer and auction event. Rather, bidding for the silent auction takes place during the sailing until the deadline with highest bidder winning the opportunity to purchase the lot. There are some truly wonderful auction lots from Walt Disney Classics Collection, Walt Disney Animation Art, Walt Disney Art Classics and Lenox. There may be other auction lots provided by the Disney Cruise Line, but these items provided by WDAC are planned to be available for bidding.

The artwork showcases a few fun-filled ghosts giving Mickey Mouse and his sweetheart Minnie a scare as they ride through the Mansion. "Beware of Hitchhiking Ghosts" was made available during the first ever Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics collectors event, March 19-21, 1999 at the Walt Disney World ® Resort in Florida.
