The sericel was only shown one other time (at the Disneyana Convention this past September) and is now set for a May 2002 introduction.

The piece fits the "Made in California" theme and pays homage to Disneyland and Walt Disney himself. The sericel features 63 colors and 64 characters surrounding Walt Disney walking through Sleeping Beauty's Castle the day before Disneyland opened.  It celebrates the multitude of characters that Walt helped to create...including some lesser-known characters that only the convention attendees may be familiar with.
